Overview
The Frontline Manager has a key role in ensuring that the workplace meets safety requirements set down in legislation, standards and the organisation's policies and practices. While it is recognised that safety is everyone's responsibility, the frontline manager has an important leadership role in promoting and monitoring a safe workplace and environment.
This self-managed learning and assessment program is concerned with establishing, maintaining and evaluating the organisation's Occupational Health and Safety policies, procedures and programs in the relevant work area in accordance with OHS legal requirements.
Who will benefit?
All individuals who have (or are likely to have) a management responsibility for Occupational Health and Safety. It is relevant for those with managerial responsibilities, either as an owner or employee manager, of a business.
Learning Outcomes
- Establish and maintain an Occupational Health and Safety system
- Establish and maintain participative arrangements for the management of Occupational Health and Safety
- Establish and maintain procedures for identifying hazards, and assessing and controlling risks
- Establish and maintain a quality Occupational Health and Safety management system
